Written by: Bonnie Feldman, DDS, MBA, Becca Malizia, BS

The Holidays can be a difficult time of year for anyone trying to mind their waistline, let alone suffer from an autoimmune disease. Holiday sweets like candy and cookies are everywhere, and smells of hot cocoa and sugar filled lattes waft through the air. Not to mention the added stress of holiday shopping and incoming family or travel plans– it’s a problematic time for most, and especially those with an autoimmune disease.

Diet modifications and specific autoimmune protocols vary, but most include reducing if not completely eliminating gluten, dairy, processed foods and added sugars. So how can you enjoy the Holiday season without exacerbating your symptoms?

Don’t worry! Thankfully there are many gluten-free, dairy-free, autoimmune protocol approved recipes that you can try without missing any of the guilty, symptom inducing ingredients.
