The holidays can be a difficult time of year for anyone trying to mind their waistline, let alone suffering from an autoimmune disease. Holiday sweets like candy and cookies are everywhere while the smells of hot cocoa and sugar filled lattes waft through the air. Not to mention, the added stress of holiday shopping and incoming family or travel plans. Clearly, it’s a problematic time for most, and especially those with an autoimmune disease.
