Spotlight on Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory Disease

In honor of National Autoimmune Awareness Month, we started a series of information and resources posts on autoimmune and autoinflammatory conditions, in hopes of raising awareness and connecting patients and others with useful information.

At Your Autoimmunity Connection, we connect you to the latest information about chronic inflammatory diseases (CID): autoimmune, autoinflammatory and others. Adittionally, we bring to bear our experience in business consulting & market research as well as writing, storytelling, and speaking. Early in 2018, we started our Spotlight series to shine our light upon autoimmune diseases to illuminate this invisible epidemic. Most importantly, we provide patients and caretakers with useful information: statistics, research, patient communities, digital health tools, and resources specific to your disease. Our Spotlights are also executive summaries about CIDs for organizations and businesses who share our mission of improving care of autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases. Together, we will reshape awareness, research, diagnosis, treatment, and even prevention!

Toward the end of 2018, we decided to expand this spotlight series to encompass food as medicine and therapy, and thus started a new Food Spotlight series connecting food and autoimmune diseases.

Overall, our goal is to support all autoimmune patients on your individual journeys to achieving optimal health and wellbeing. We know that each of you has your own unique struggles, which means your path to feeling healthy will be unique as well. That’s why we provide both general autoimmune and specific disease information. We encourage you to experiment with what works for your body!
